I don't have a fixed rate because there's no 'one-size-fits-all' solution in music production, but it's probably less than you think. As my clients often say: 'My mixes sound more expensive than they are.'
9 out of 10 times I mix & master the songs I work on. This may or may not include additional deliverables like stems, vinyl Master, DDP-Master or a Dolby Atmos Master.
No worries if you need any help with your production! I am part of “SDB Productions”, a creative collective of specialists who can assist you with every single step of music production and beyond: From songwriting, and producing to promotion or even shooting a music video - just leave me a message and we can sort out together the best solution for you!
Again, there is no fixed rule for how long it takes to mix something. My goal is to deliver high-quality results, and I’ll try my best to meet your timing needs.
While you can certainly mix your own music, working with a professional engineer brings a fresh perspective and expertise that will completely transform your song. I specialize in rock and metal, so I understand the unique demands of the genre. My goal is to bring clarity, punch, and polish to your tracks - ensuring they compete with top-tier releases. This is crucial, especially in genres like rock and metal where heavily processed sounds dominate. After all, do the drums in a rehearsal space sound anything like the drums on the latest Bring Me The Horizon album?
“Professional Mixing Engineer” sounds like a sick-ass job title, but in reality, I am just a normal bloke who loves music. So I think we get along pretty well. For the collaboration, I have systems and guidelines in place that make sure that our collaboration is smooth and also meets the expectations of both of us.
To mix your song, I need well-labeled, cleaned-up tracks with any necessary pitch or timing corrections already applied. Export consolidated tracks from the same starting point, and include both dry and processed versions if effects are essential. Don’t forget a stereo rough mix for reference.
Compress everything into a .zip file and send via email or upload it online. For detailed instructions, visit: How to Send Files for Mixing.
It's really simple, just send me a message or book a call so we can chat about your music.
